OPERATE THE RSR SYSTEM OR HAVE IT OPERATED?

Basically, two variants are offered to the plant operators. The RSR system can be purchased and must therefore be financed by the operator. Or it is operated by Green Sentinel and the plant operator pays a monthly rent for its use.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE OPERATOR MODEL

1. HOW DOES THE OPERATOR MODEL WORK?

Green Sentinel will fully operate the RSR plant. From the time of commissioning, Green Sentinel is responsible for the smooth operation of the plant as well as for the recycling of the products and any waste generated. All service and repair work will also be carried out by Green Sentinel.

2. AS A PLANT OPERATOR, DO I HAVE TO CARRY OUT AN ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT?

An environmental impact assessment depends on several factors. Everything you need to know about this can be found in our information sheet "Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)".

3. ARE THERE EMISSIONS/IMMISSIONS THAT COULD BECOME PROBLEMATIC?

Already during the planning and implementation of the RSR plant, all requirements laid down in the Federal Immission Control Act (BImSchG) were taken into account. In the federal states, there are slight legal differences according to location; these are assessed additionally. The exhaust air is cleaned by several filters and secured by mechanical and electronic safety devices according to the current legal requirements.

4. WHAT INFLUENCE DOES THE RSR SYSTEM HAVE ON THE WATER?

By using the RSR process at the wastewater treatment plant, the water is not polluted. Through a water rights audit, it can be determined that no additional pollution is created in the wastewater through the use of the RSR process and thus water rights are not violated.

5. HOW MUCH SPACE DO I HAVE TO PLAN FOR THE RSR SYSTEM?

For an RSR-75 to RSR-125, an area of approx. 40 to 80 sqm should be planned.

For an RSR-250, an area of approx. 80 to 100 sqm should be planned.

For an RSR-500, an area of approx. 80 to 120 sqm should be planned.

The space required depends on the local conditions and the nature of the interface.

6. WHAT IS THE POWER CONSUMPTION FOR THE SYSTEM OPERATION?

The power requirement depends on the size of the RSR system and the selected product path. For example, an RSR-75 to RSR-500 system can be operated with approx. 30 to 90 kW.

7. CAN THERE BE AN UNWANTED BACK LOAD IN THE WASTE WATER?

Service water (from 1.2 m3/h) from the existing water network of the treatment plant is used for the process. This is used for washing and cleaning steps. Subsequently, the wastewater from the plant is returned to the treatment plant. This wastewater is adapted in such a way that there is no backloading. Specific needs for the wastewater can still be adapted on site.

8. IS EXHAUST AIR PRODUCED DURING THE PROCESS?

Yes, exhaust air of 300 - 1,000 Bm3/h is produced. This is washed, cleaned and filtered in accordance with legal requirements before being released into the atmosphere.

9. HOW IS THE RSR PLANT FED?

Feeding takes place according to the customer's wishes. Usually via an acceptance container that is located directly under the previous discharge after dewatering. However, any possibility for feeding can be considered and already taken into account in the engineering. An upstream dewatering system is also conceivable and feasible.

10. IS THERE A CERTIFICATION AND PURCHASER OF THE PRODUCTS CREATED BY THE RSR PLANT?

A basic certification security at EU level is available. In addition, we strive for certifications with the respective sludge product of the sewage treatment plant in order to highlight the special quality of the fertiliser products.

Customers:

We have a contractual commitment of 100% for our fertiliser products.

The substitute fuel route is regulated by the BImSchG through §4 and sold to the market as secondary fuel; here we have a written commitment in Bavaria to purchase 60,000 t/TM (as of March 2022), with a strong upward trend.
